Jackson's Baptism, June 30. 2012

Ok. I forgot my camera and my phone when we went to Jackson's baptism. Various people took the pictures below with the Weaver's camera. Today is also Jamie's birthday. And we celebrated with a  chocolate cake, of which I don't have any pictures to show.

Jackson and Jared.

This is everyone who attended the baptism from the Astle and Weaver clans. And maybe some others.

Tanner, Sara, Jared, Guess Which of the Seven Dwarfs, and Jackson.

Fixing lunch for a whole lotta people. Well, some of us were fixing lunch. Others were just glamming.

Wells, Mei, Happy Annie and a neighbor kid whose name I don't know.

Handsome Caleb.

Beautiful Kali.

I would have posted pictures of other kids, but we just didn't take any.

Lagoon on Hottest Day of the Year So Far--100 Degrees?

Jared's work hosted Lagoon Day today, and he had extra tickets, so Jamie, Kali, Emi and I joined the Sara, Jared, Jackson, Tanner and Annie. The temperature was supposed to reach 100 degrees for the first time this year, which I think may have worked in our favor. There really weren't many people, and Lagoon is an old park with a lot of big shady trees. Plus, a breeze blew all day, so it didn't seem all that hot. I had a great time, and I think everyone else did, too.
The first ride we went on was Wicked-three times. Giant magnets shoot the car up a vertical incline. Then it falls down a vertical decline before twisting through the rest of the course to the stop.

Sara waiting in line. Sara, Kali, Jared and I went twice while Jamie took the other kids to some kiddie rides.

We then convinced Jamie that she had to go. She was really looking forward to this ride.

Kali loved all the rides.

Kali and her mom.

Shooting up the vertical.

Falling down the vertical.

Around a bend.

Here's the whole ride.

Emi on Rattlesnake Rapids.

Annie loved Rattlesnake Rapids.

Of course, Sara and Emi took the brunt of the waterfall.

The boys like anything with water.

Kali, Jared and I rode the newest ride, Air Race.

We spent a lot of time upside down and spinning from right side up to upside down.

Jared and I needed to do the Rocket Reentry.

Here's the reentry.

Three kids drying off after playing in the fountains near the entrance. I think this was their favorite part of the day.

This is the rickety old Lagoon Roller Coaster. It's a rough, brutal ride.
